Review on Men'S Thorogood Infinity FD Series 9-Inch Waterproof Hunting And Hiking Boots With Full-Grain Leather, 400G Insulation, And Anti-Fatigue Traction Outsole by Tom Reid

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good But know this.

I bought these in Sept of 2020 for hunting. Although they are waterproof, I added a layer of beeswax and vaseline. This helped for keeping the rain and snow at bay. For hunting, they performed great and held up to rough terrain. They are extremely comfortable and decided to wear them everyday and still do. (I have awful feet as well)The "bad"- The rubber walls have multiple lines that connect on the side of the boot which are made by a pretty soft rubber/foam. When these accumulate water, it will fill in these areas and while walking you can hear them squeak as air pockets have been filled. A good boot glue will take care of this to an extent. The rubber on the toe starting to move away from the leather, but glue also fixed this. The other issue is the flex technology they use may be too flexible for some.granted Ive worn them for 9 months straight and Although comfortable, I dont know if youd get more than a year in these unless you only wore them for certain activities. The Good- They are comfortable, sturdy, and the tread has surprisingly done real well.If they just fixed their material I mentioned so water wouldnt seep into the side of the soles, this boot would be much better.I would still purchase a pair because for the money theyve held up well. I have friends who wear $500 boots daily and they get about 8-10 months out of them.

Pros
  • Very comfortable right out of the box
Cons
  • Can be heavy and bulky on the feet, making it difficult to move quickly and comfortably
