I bought these for an unadvertised purpose so I'm not complaining they don't work. But I wanted people to know how fragile shells are. I found it wise to buy cheap containers like this to store board game components while playing. They're fine for this purpose, except that in our last game (two adult players, generally very careful and no hits on the bowls), one of them kinda popped softly on the edge. We didn't realize it until a piece of cheap plastic was stuck to our inquisitive dog's face. They tend to break with very light use, peeling plastic everywhere. So get them for single use only (not that I recommend single use plastic) and even then they are very fragile. I wouldn't recommend them for reuse, say, feeding animals or serving food to people. and you have to be careful the first time you serve it that the edge of the bowl doesn't tear so that someone doesn't get a piece of plastic in their mouth.
