Thing drinks daylight, I don't even need full sun. I hear high pitched tones and sometimes it happens when it turns off - I suspect the battery is charged when it does, but I haven't checked. I bought this to hold the battery that powers the light in my truck trailer that I have turned into a toy tractor. I set up the light to work even when I'm not connected to the vehicle and didn't want to drain the battery, so I leave it plugged in the whole time. I also charged some quad batteries and it works great even when I'm under a canopy out of direct sunlight - I'm quite surprised. I love all things solar and I will say that this is a good choice. My absolute favorite from the start was that it comes with 3 different cables to choose from to connect my battery to the panel, it comes with 3 separate cables. Options! I'm happy…
