I received the car roof pads and I am satisfied with my purchase. While I'm sure they will make a surfboard rental company happy, my main reason for buying them was to protect the crossbars on my new SUV. I've used crossbars on previous vehicles to load something too big (wood, party tents, etc) and found the crossbars to be very scratched and poor looking, as well as being quite slippery and allowed to move, which has been the case. turns.
