Edit: The company contacted and provided a set of replacement cables. They move a bit in the connector which can affect charging speed but are great for charging on a bedside table etc where not much movement is expected.--------------- - ------------------------------------------------ - - - ------------------------------------------------ - ------ I just bought these cables to replace the OEM for my Galaxy S8 because they had good reviews, they were longer and seemed more durable. They arrived today and I liked their unwrapped look. The USB-C connected to my phone really well, which was great, but then I plugged in the charger and something went wrong. My phone got the message "Check the connection between the cable and charger" and that it would take 3 hours to charge from 50% to full. I unplugged the cable and tried again, same message. Then I tried a different cable, same problem. It all comes with an OEM S8 jack, so it's not a problem, and I've never had it with any other cable, even a crappy one like $2. I am definitely disappointed and am sending it back.
