After a false start with not so famous competitors I was after because of the big name, this card worked. easily found via PnP with original Windows 10 drivers. Worked even better with the latest (two year old) drivers from the Startech website. I don't even know what the potential is, but in an internet speed test I get a consistent 300Mbps on average with a heavily outdated desktop box. That's why I needed PCI in the first place. I haven't run any internal tests to see if this actually translates to a gigabit on this system ---- maybe, but for my purposes a third of that is more than enough. Any limitation will most likely not be related to the card but to my system and the network it is connected to.
