I love this coat for my daughter. It's warm, water-resistant and she loves the fun pattern! The fleece lining extends to the sleeves, which is very difficult to find in a coat. It's warm without being super plump. I bought her a coat earlier when she needed to warm up and it was so bloated she could barely put her backpack on. It's thin, but still warm. So far there are no downsides to this coat and I plan to keep buying it for both kids as they grow!
