I bought this because my husband was tired of pulling my long hair out of the shower drain and I was tired of hearing about it. It fits in my shower with no issues and goes right over the old drain where the holes are too big and let pretty much a ton of hair down the drain. The only problem is that it works really well when you first get into the shower you need to move it out of the sewer so the water can drain. When you're in the shower and get over the initial drain problem it seems like it can keep up, but when you first turn on the shower it doesn't seem able to deal with the shower drain due to the holes quite a bit are small . Cleaning the drain is very easy as it all collects at the top and you can then simply wipe it off with a piece of tissue paper and you are all set to deal with a clogged water. :-)
