The Charis Allure Women's Rain Jacket is a simple and attractive rain jacket perfect for cool spring/autumn weather. The jacket has a good fit and I like how it blocks the wind without being too thick/heavy. Water seems to bead off the jacket well and the hood is a good size that covers your hair without hiding your whole head in the material. The hood is not detachable, small fabric straps run through so you can tighten it on your head. The jacket can be closed with a zip or buttons (or both) and both work perfectly without snagging or popping out. There are two pockets on the outside of the jacket but none on the inside for those who like an extra pocket. One thing I like but dislike about this coat is the tie at the waist. You can pull on this tie to make the jacket tighter and give you more shape, but the ties have no support, so you must wrap the jacket around your waist from the inside before putting the jacket on. I personally would prefer a belt or at least some mechanism on the inside of the jacket to keep it in place. However, you could probably just tie two knots on the inside of the tie to keep the jacket's shape - I think this is a small detail that makes the jacket more attractive. That issue aside, this is an attractive and functional jacket that is true to size and a great on/off staple.
