They are very hard and hurt the toes in the folds. I haven't worn them long enough to break because it's not the style I like. They remind me of running shoes. Not what I was looking for. Will send back. They're also a bit roomy. I usually order a half size up but they were a bit roomy for my usual size. Might be too small if I went half a size down.
