When I unpacked this product I noticed that it doesn't compress the seal between the cover and the case much so that water doesn't get into the radio That's why I bought it Bought this part to start with. To test this observation, I tried sliding a piece of paper between the lid and case while it was latched and it slipped easily between the two pieces, proving it wasn't watertight. This design has a lot of potential, but if it doesn't compress the gasket between these two parts it can't prevent water from entering your radio, which it was designed to do.
