Review on Fredrix 5031 Stretched Canvas Inches by Angela Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Has a center brace for stability well made light weight

Bought this for my husband as a gift and realized I forgot to look at it when I saw he put it on the easel today . The frame is just under 3/4 inch thick so not particularly thick for the size of the canvas. BUT our frame came with a center brace, which means it doesn't twist or warp at all and isn't heavy (good for us). When you add a frame, you don't want your canvas to weigh a lot. The canvas is already plastered, so ready to paint, but it's not a heavy canvas material (which is good for acrylic paints. There's a small packet of wooden spacers attached to the back. I'm not sure what they're for, but I think if You need extra stability it doesn't.Its easel is small for the back of this one and it hangs perfectly stable from an easel that comes to a peak almost directly behind it due to the size.I don't see any in general Disadvantages of acrylic x For very thin oil paints you may need a heavier canvas but framing will still suffice This is a lightweight canvas great for acrylic and the frame is well finished with extras.
