Bought this for my husband as a gift and realized I forgot to look at it when I saw he put it on the easel today . The frame is just under 3/4 inch thick so not particularly thick for the size of the canvas. BUT our frame came with a center brace, which means it doesn't twist or warp at all and isn't heavy (good for us). When you add a frame, you don't want your canvas to weigh a lot.
