Honestly, you could buy the regular version cheaper and save some money for a better component elsewhere. If you don't care about aesthetics, then you're done. Ram: Corsair has a good reputation and the RAM is tested when I have it installed on my system. While overclocking is possible, it's not worth it here unless you're an enthusiast/hobbyist. The performance gain is essentially not noticeable. Compatibility: Works great in my motherboard - asus tufgaming x570-plus (wi-fi). This RAM is designed to work with newer AMD processors. If you're buying an AMD Ryzen 7 3*00x or Ryzen 9 39** processor, this is the memory you need. You can aim for a lower clock speed like the CL16, but that won't make much of a difference for most people. Plus CL16 is generally more expensive.
