Simply put, at $9 this is a very good deal. I have 3 other BBQ meat timers in the $30-$50 range. I tested it for accuracy and I was right on the money. It comes with an extra probe. The magnets on the back are "strong enough", no need to worry as some other reviews suggest. The main limitation is the fact that it defaults back to Celsius after turning it on. But it literally takes a click to bring it back to Fahrenheit. The display backlight timeout is about 3 seconds, which is a bit annoying, but again, just touch it and it'll turn back on. Super easy to program. I would compare this item to ANY of the more popular $20-$25 items. This is a great backup device for use in the rain or when an additional probe is needed or desired. One of the few products I've bought at a discounted price that actually works and works accurately. Even if I get 6 months or 10 meals, it's worth it. I am very impressed.
