Review on 💡 Furman Sound 8 Outlet Surge Protector by Chris Hossain

Edit: The little protection light never came on and I assumed it shouldn't. No, the device has never been a surge protector. Wrote to Furman, never got a reply. Furman isn't Furman anymore, you should keep buying their product until you get lucky and get one that actually works. No thank you. My system is not quite reference level, Martin Logan's smallest bookshelf speakers (good, but still), a mass-market receiver, and I stream my music from YouTube via AirPlay. I wanted a good surge protector, but the whole line filter thing was just a curiosity. There's a noticeable reduction in background noise though, a cleaner sound if you will. Didn't really notice the low background audio and figured it wouldn't sound great with YouTube, airplay and the overall system quality. Perhaps power conditioning is more important for Ok type systems as they don't put much effort into controlling line noise, I don't know but it was easily audible in my system. I can't say anything about the video. I didn't notice any difference.
