I am very disappointed with Rowenta. I paid over $70 first and it started leaking after a few months. Then a few months later the top piece of white plastic fell off and then ripped off completely. I'm not picky about the iron and only use it for ironing. I don't hammer nails or anything like that. So the quality wasn't what I expected, but then when I spoke to the company about it, they said it was out of warranty and I had to take it to a service center for repair. Excellent. I understand the fact that the warranty has expired, but I feel that they should take some responsibility for the quality of their products. A MUCH better customer service experience would be to offer to fix it or send me a discount on a new one. That's how I stay loyal to the brand. Well, now I'm looking for another company for my next iron. Maybe this experience is better. You have to take a page out of Patagonia's customer service book. The best I've ever experienced.
