Short strap on my review.
This splint has a strap that goes around the ankle area and another that goes around the calf. Both are the same length. The ankle strap fit fine and was easy to use. Since I am not built like Olive Oyl the strap going around the calf was too short and I had a heck of a time figuring out where I could attach it’s Velcro to hold the splint in place. I’m not impressed. Come on guys. No one has a calf the same diameter as their ankle. How much more could a couple of extra inches of strap have cost the manufacturer?
- Allows for greater mobility during physical therapy
- May not provide enough support for athletes with chronic ankle instability
