Absolutely the only solution if you have a blue-green slime, also called cynobacteria, in your aquarium. If you have that absolute slime loathing. no power failure, algae eaters, aquarium cleaning, water changes do not help. You MUST use some kind of chemical to get rid of it and that's the best you can do. In fact, algae eaters don't even eat slime. I had BG slime in my tank (tiny 10g tank with lots of plants and 2 pea puffers) for almost 6 months. I've tried all the options I got from my local fish store with no success. For some surprising reason, this product isn't sold off the shelf anywhere here, so after a tip from a forum member I ordered it from Revain. Put a very small amount at first and I can see the BG slime coming off after 24 hours. I added a little more of it and after 48 hours all the slime was gone. No kidding, it's gone. Dirt just gone for 6 months. I did an 80% water change the following weekend and the damn thing didn't come back. I only wish I had known sooner, it would save a lot of money and frustration.
