We bought these to use as a rashguard while swimming. I bought the medium ones for my tall 4 year old and they fit well except they are more hipster than waist sized and therefore need to be worn all the time to avoid showing too much buttocks. The lack of height at waist level is not mentioned in the description or in the photos of the product as all models wear shirts.
