I bought these for mounting stuff on my car roof… like this doll. So she can enjoy the fall air! Ok not really. I bought these for mounting critical electrical stuff and I was massively worried that they would not be strong enough for the application.NO WORRIES! I read a review where they slid down someone’s fridge with a spice rack attached and I honestly think that could never happen with the magnets I received. When they snap onto a metal surface there’s maybe 10-20 lbs required to push sideways. I literally could not remove them by pulling at all and I’m not weak. Seems waaaay over 40lbs.I also bought 2” wide bathtub/outdoor no-slip tape to mount on roof of car because of that review. I was going to use that thin clear waterproof tape to have zero chance of sliding. But I actually think it’s not necessary. Even in high winds.These are perfect, and high quality.I bought lock nuts at the Lowe’s across from the original Apple headquarters in Silicon Valley. In case you want them. I don’t want my stuff vibrating loose on the roof. Not worried about the magnets… I set one on top of the metal screw-drawers while getting more hardware for the stuff (which is in the picture as the extra bolts) and I panicked a second because I couldn’t get it off. Lol. I wish they would include lock nuts? Other than that it’s perfect.
