Good, coffee filtered, not leaked or broken; However, my disappointment lies in the quality of the coffee produced. The first cup of coffee I poured was lighter and very weak. The second cup, poured from the same carafe, was again light in color and the bottom of the carafe was full of coffee grounds. I've never had this problem with paper filters. Emptying the filter also takes practice - it's not easy getting rid of all the grist, so I ended up rinsing it out and quite a bit of the grist ended up in the sink. I bought it to reduce waste and avoid spending. Money for coffee filters but the coffee was so weak I should have spent more on coffee to get the strength I wanted. There is no economy there. Paper filters can be composted, so I'll limit myself to them. On the plus side, for those trying to reduce waste, the packaging was a pleasant surprise as it only came in a ziplock bag. I've seen reviews that the handle breaks but mine was fine. It goes perfectly with my Mr. Coffee for 4 cups.
