I like the picture quality of the 4 megapixel camera. I can see clearly at long distances day and night. What's not good is that camera motion detection only starts recording when you're within 10-12 feet of it. I can enter my yard from afar, but I won't find myself until I reach the back stairs. Not to mention that it was often not possible to connect to live video. If you guard the front and back doors of your house and want to use this camera as a motion detector and spotlight, it's good enough. If you want to cover your entire yard, get an NVR camera system.
