Audio jack/VRM issues. The placement of the audio controller between the two m.2 slots may have played a role.

I know that all z490 MoBo manufacturers set the voltage too high, so I overclocked my processor. However, after 2 weeks, the sound began to wheeze and rumble, and then a high-pitched rumble appeared. Soon all the sound from the jack became static. I originally assumed the power supply and USB crosstalk, no! Tested with new power supply, no USB, just boot disk and built in video, same. The worst part was trying to register my product with MSI.
