These TRIDENT 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets are comfortable to the touch and a pleasure to sleep on. I'm used to sleeping on 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and pillowcases. I washed them and slept in them on a cold night, so I wore my panty-like pajamas and socks. Where I really noticed it was 400 was on my face as I sat on my side on the pillowcases. Not as soft as mine on the 600 but I won't have a problem sleeping on it. They have a satin finish that makes them softer. I usually prefer percale, but the satin finish on these isn't too silky for me. They are made in India. A few years ago I got a pair of cheap 600 gauge cloth sheets (which still hold up well) from India that have 1/2 inch ribbing all the way around. The fitted sheet in this set has 1" elastic all the way around which is a plus. The queen pillowcases are roomy enough for my queen pillows and the top sheet is a decent length. They seem better than regular sheets and pillowcases for the price and I recommend them to buyers who have a 400 in the criteria.
