I just finished a week long trip to Colorado, here are my thoughts1. The jacket fits great, true to size and the armor fits the body well2. This material is a big improvement over previous HWK products and the design isn't perfect, but it's affordable3. Pockets, vents, Velcro and zippers at price level4. The weight was a little less than I expected, I don't think it would be safe to slide on the freeway. Probably best for a city with lower speeds. I liked the collar, it was easy to use and comfortable6. It's not waterproof! Not even waterproof! I got caught in the rain 6 times during my trip. During normal Colorado summer showers, the jacket would get wet in 3-5 minutes. It dries quickly, but if you're looking for a reliable raincoat, look elsewhere. Final Thoughts; this will be my urban jacket, i love it very much, i just can't take it on a trip due to limited durability/protection and waterproof issues.
