I think my husband has really thought about a lot of things over the past few years as I have been battling this terminal illness. Especially after suffering complete heart failure and requiring emergency surgery with a pacemaker. As if that were enough, pretty much exactly a year later, despite a pacemaker, I got full heart failure again. I had and needed surgery to implant an improved device. I think the experience gave him a reality check and definitely made him more health conscious. Bless his heart, I know a big part of him also wants to make the changes needed to support me. I wanted to give him something nice because he has done so much for me. He's been hinting and commenting on his interest in smartwatches for a while, so I figured the least I could do was give him a small gift as a token of how much I appreciate everything he does for me. I like it. . . There are so many interesting and useful features in this smart watch. Not only do you get the traditional perks like Bluetooth connectivity, message and call reminders/alerts, alarms, and more, you get the perks you'd expect from a fitness tracker. Now you don't have to carry two different devices with you, because one device can do everything. This SKMEI smartwatch includes heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen and blood pressure monitoring functions. The watch also provides you with app notifications from apps like Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Whatsapp, Instagram, Gmail, etc. You can stream music, get the weather forecast, check the GPS location, and even control your device's camera, you could use the watch taking photos! You can choose from 11 different sport modes, each with expert pro tips to get the most out of your workout. Sport modes include climbing, swimming, yoga, badminton, cycling, running, walking, elliptical, basketball, table tennis and soccer. There's also a history recorder so you can keep track of your past workouts and check for improvements. You can adjust brightness and volume. One of the features that will no doubt be the most useful for my husband is the Find My Phone feature! He always loses his phone, loses it and forgets where he put it. This smart watch is waterproof, so you don't have to worry about taking it off to do water sports or other activities. It only takes 2 hours to fully charge and you can then enjoy a battery life (with normal use) of 7-10 days, after which you need to charge the watch again. I do not like it. . . Although SKMEI smartwatches are waterproof, it is recommended not to wear them in hot water. My husband loves jacuzzi baths and jacuzzis and I'm concerned that he won't always remember to take it off, especially since it's labeled waterproof. It has become a really great and successful gift idea. . My husband is one of those men who doesn't have their phones with them when working in the yard or garage. When I'm running errands I can't help but reach him when I call. To be honest this watch is just as useful for me as it is for him because now I know that if I call or text him he will be notified. He doesn't need to know my ulterior motives lol I just keep it to myself.
