Review on πŸ’¨ Enhance Data Transfer Speed with Buffalo SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI Express 2-Port Interface Card IFC-PCIE2U3 by Richard Cummings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice and discreet card

Installed yesterday on my Windows 7 x64 computer. The installation process went fine, the only problem was that there was no free SATA port on my computer. So I had to reuse one of my SATA Blue-Ray hard drives and connect it with one end of the supplied male to female extension cable. That way I was able to reconnect my burner. As a computer engineer I do NOT recommend that you install it yourself if you are a beginner as you could leave something unplugged or improperly connected to your computer which could result in it breaking badly. . After it was plugged in, I turned on my computer, started Windows and using an administrator account I installed the drivers from the CD that came with it. This process is really easy. I know I did it right because my burner works fine (it already read the CD that came with it) and plugged in the USB flash drive and both worked correctly. I haven't connected my USB 3.0 portable hard drive yet because it hasn't arrived yet :-p, but I'll update this review once I can test its lightspeed transfer speed. By the way, I was worried about Linux drivers. Luckily you don't need them because my Debian installation recognized the same flash drive without any problems. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • No performance
