Really nice design---(if no chill wind) The awnings are awesome, but can funnel chill air up & in thru ceiling mesh. Warmer, even warm rainy weather can be great in this tent. Still---one learns: bringing mud rug & ground tarp! (just short of drip edge of tent! or folded under so as to not catch drainage!)IS WISE. [Note: after years of cheapNIKWAX WATERPROOFER & SOLAR UV SHIELD IS NO-BRAINER if expecting rain---(even at $16-$18 per liter)---to boost waterproofing AND DOUBLE LIFE OF MATERIAL! (The stuff is sworn by by pros!)]I REALLY LOVE THIS TENT. My first loved tent had pole stretched awnings for air in rain. Now it's what I look for first! .well, that and FULL coverage rain-flys. This fly really does nearly as well at keeping rain off tent walls---thanks to the awning props.(Cold rain on walls causes floor pooling of dripping condensation---think beads of water forming on ice tea in a glass wetting the table!---which most assume is leaks. I'll sacrifice full-cover fly for great ventilation ---which allows hanging IN while raining AND being able to breathe! If not packing---bring BIG grommeted tarp & bright paracord when *serious* rain is possible. Better to have it & not need it.etc.as is said. I LOVE fresh rain air flowing thru my tents. This tent allows that nicely. :)
