Really great design---('cept for cold winds)

Really nice design---(if no chill wind) The awnings are awesome, but can funnel chill air up & in thru ceiling mesh. Warmer, even warm rainy weather can be great in this tent. Still---one learns: bringing mud rug & ground tarp! (just short of drip edge of tent! or folded under so as to not catch drainage!)IS WISE. [Note: after years of cheapNIKWAX WATERPROOFER & SOLAR UV SHIELD IS NO-BRAINER if expecting rain---(even at $16-$18 per liter)---to boost waterproofing AND DOUBLE LIFE OF MATERIAL…

Pros
  • INCREDIBLE SPACE: This dome tent accommodates up to 5 people with an immense 70 sq. ft. rectangular floor that will provide you with more than enough room! At its center, the tent stands 63" tall!
Cons
  • Limited Ventilation - Although the tent has several mesh windows to help with ventilation, some customers have complained that the overall design creates hot and stuffy conditions inside the tent, especially during warm weather, which can make it uncomfortable to sleep or hang out in for extended periods

Color is dark green NOT gray

I was initially very disappointed with this tent when I took it out of the box because looking at the picture it appears gray; however the one I received was dark green so just be aware of that. As far as set up goes the directions are not very clear about what poles go where but after getting it figured out the first time by trial and error and looking at the picture it's fairly simple. The tent fits a standard queen size air mattress with half a foot or so to spare all around. All in all a…

Pros
  • losts of room for one easy set holds up well in wind screen on top lets in a little to much air
Cons
  • Limited Space - While the GigaTent Mountain Adams is advertised as a family cabin tent, the dimensions of 10X7 are not necessarily spacious enough to comfortably accommodate large families with multiple people and camping gear

Haven't gone camping with it yet!

revain rushed me to review the Gigatent so I'll tell you what I know so far - Everything was there in the package and in excellent condition. We set the tent up which took about 15 minutes for two adults, not bad for the first time! Seems to be quality made with 4 fiberglass poles, a sturdy rain fly and should last at least the five years of the guarantee. After take down, it all fit back in the bag! The instructions are sewn into the carry bag which is a nice feature. Once we are ready to use…

Pros
  • After check all the tents that leak, I chose this one. It’ a winner.
Cons
  • Durability Issues - Several customers have reported that the tent poles are not as sturdy as advertised and are prone to bending or snapping, especially in windy conditions or when the tent is heavily loaded with gear and people
