Compact device, long range, easy to use

This product is very compact. I was surprised by the real size. I've had my current router since 2017. I had to have it replaced under warranty once and was never very happy with the company so I decided to consider another router. It came up as an advertisement so I decided to give it a try. As you can see, my desk took up a lot less space. Installation was very easy and the app is very simple - you don't need IT skills to install it, but you do need to know how to use the app and smartphone. It only has a local LAN port so you need a switch. . Most players or active users connected to Hardlines already have them. Personally, I need another one since my current router occupies all four LAN ports. I checked the Wi-Fi signal strength in my detached garage where I had a signal, albeit weak, on my previous router. I was surprised to see that this device has a stronger connection even without external antennas. It was 50 feet from the router and over two walls. I am absolutely delighted with this device. I only received 1 pack so I can't tell you how good the switching between points is. I was concerned that I would run into problems in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands as I didn't see a way to set up two different connections. . I have some devices that can only work with the first one. I was happy to learn that you only need one Wi-Fi connection and the device properly powers both bands at the same time. I was able to connect to multiple other devices connected to 2.4 at the same time via 5 on my smartphone. The app has a feature to enable only 2.4 (temporarily) to make finding wifi range easier for these devices. Note that I haven't found a way to hide the SSID, which I do on most routers. It's not a deal breaker for me, but it might be for others.
