I like the extra steps that go with them like the heatsink clips around the alligator clips to protect circuit boards and wires. I will do this with other third hand holders that I own. The connecting links are not genuine, but I didn't expect them in this price range either. However, they are of good quality and feel tight. They don't move once in the right position. The base really intrigued me at this price - it's aluminum. I thought it was a plastic yoke but was quite surprised to see that it was cast aluminum. Overall, for the price, this is a great addition to my workstation. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a third hand holder.
