Update 5/2019: Last update (cat has since passed away). According to Revane I've ordered this 63 times and the quality seems to be back. The plastic is again thicker so it doesn't rip when you open it from the box and it hasn't ripped in the last few boxes. It's an odd shape, tapering towards the bottom where it lays flat in the pan, but this has meant that any creases on the sides that would end up as little puddles of urine have been reduced. It's hard to describe, but easier to work with. Update: The material is even thinner than ever. He's torn just for putting junk in the liner. Throw everything away and look for another brand. Original: Have been ordering them for years. In the last maybe year or so the lining has felt thinner and recently it has come out again as a thicker material which is nice. They don't last more than 5 days before your cat's claws start ripping through the plastic, so I just put everything in a bag and add fresh litter every few days. This has always been the case with these earplugs and it doesn't bother me at all. The new thicker liner rips a bit if you just pull it out of the box where it's heat sealed with a point. This is the only downside to the current production quality. For some reason my cat also managed to pierce it at the bottom even though it was thicker, but I think it may have just been an accident and I didn't have enough litter to start with.
