Grips well right down the drain

I think this is a good blocking device right under the drain, probably only helps with this or that trap or whatever it's called because of the sharp drain angle only makes a few inches return. (Sorry, don't know all the jargon). I mean empty the bathtub. I also think you need to remove the drain cap before using. Mine comes off easily with a flathead screwdriver. I agree to move slowly and carefully so as not to increase the likelihood of breaking the teeth or the main shaft. I could see how teeth can snap when they're stuck on something without too much trouble. However, it allows you to grab things that you can't reach with, say, tweezers or a couple of skewers. I use a plastic hair trap over my permanent drain cap and still catch a clump of hair. However, I think that the bundle I grabbed was part of or related to a real problem that is probably close to this trap. And when I pulled out what he was grabbing, something else just moved. I'm afraid if I remove the plate with the stop lever I won't put it back in, but I assume this is the way to go. Since this one is a few inches longer than some of the others, I'm wondering if someone with the ability to remove the overflow/plug plate and dig around might not have better luck with this one than the shorter one. With this material, it seems that only a few centimeters can make the difference. So. My slow drain got even slower after using this even though I extracted some stuff. I'm hoping the water and dish soap will quell it a bit while I wait for a professional. I think it might be a good idea to use this thing every 1-3 months. It doesn't stink, it's just that its capabilities are limited. At least in my attempt.
