This stuff works wonders
Purigen is a water solution that has a yellow tint due to the tannins in driftwood. This completely solved my problem and gave me crystal clear water that looked amazing. I stuck the bag in my outboard transom filter or buried it in the gravel next to my bottom gravel filter outlet. This is fantastic material. I'm sure it removes all other substances it claims from the water as well, but tannins were my problem.
