I ordered new keys from my local hardware store and then programmed both myself in just a few minutes. All the buttons on the key worked when this was done. The only catch is that you must have two working keys before you can program the new keys yourself. I suggest getting your spare keys working before you lose any of your original keys. Luckily I still had both, but one was badly worn. The characters on my key could not be read and the place where the key ring was attached was broken.
