I had two identical lamps on two identical tables in my bedroom on either side of my bed. I haven't found any lamps that I like. So while searching I saw accent lamps and thought I'd buy one to use on another desk while I was looking for my perfect lamp. It arrived safe and sound the next day and the headlights offered to buy them. They also arrived the next day. I don't like the outside when the light is on. The purchase looks white, the purchase with light looks like there are cracks in the finish, and it looks like black cracks in the finish. It's not horrible by any means, it just doesn't go with my decor which is navy blue and white with some of the very first faux oriental rugs in navy blue and red. It just doesn't fit the style. But it works damn well. no heat The recommended LED lights are ideal. I put it on a small white saucer from another piece of decoration I bought in Paris. It fits perfectly in the hole below (where you screw the bulb into the socket), but it's not necessary. I still have two lamps in the room. one on my desk across the street in a tiny cul-de-sac and on the other side of my bed. I don't need either with this light, but when all three are on it's not too bright. . The light alone is not too bright. There is a small clicker on the cord to turn it on and off. I like the product. The price for a box with 4 bulbs and a lamp was $50. I bought Abrillo E12 LED bulbs (4) which were shown as bought together.
