These socks are worth every dollar!. I walk in the woods a lot and have bought a cheaper pair of leggings before and there just isn't anything else that compares - you really get what you pay for. I put the working gaiters through a really tough water test - wade through many streams where the water was ankle high and guess what - NO WATER IN MY Lowa Renegade GTX BOOTS! It wouldn't have been possible with my old $30 leggings. Also, the loop on the boots doesn't come loose like it did on my old leggings. Hooray! So I had to write this review to tell you they are the best you can get because I was hesitant to buy an OP because of the cost - now I know they are worth every penny! We recommend! I ordered a small because I have skinny calves even though I wear size 10 women's walking shoes. They fit perfectly. So it seems like shoe size shouldn't be your criterion when ordering - the rating is based on your calves.
