I bought the Anpvis 2.8mm 3MP Dome Camera for its wide view and entrance surveillance as part of an integrated security system with ONVIF cameras and a 1080P NVR. Anpvis was connected to the NVR using a 1G Ethernet wired connection. The camera was easy to install on the network using the IPSearchtools software provided by Anpvis, which was downloaded from their website and installed on a Windows 10 PC. The software detected the camera on the network and gave the NVR an IP address on the network to find it. From there, and by directly accessing the camera configuration page by entering the IP address into a browser, I was able to configure the cameras for 1080p. I was impressed with the amount of configuration control offered by the camera's configuration menu. Using the ONVIF features, the NVR recognized the camera immediately and I was able to set it as one of the 8 cameras in the security system. But after 1 week of continuous use, the camera was defective. Read my impressions. The physical installation went well. The dome is removed, the base attached, and then the camera installed. The dome is secured with captured Allen screws. In addition, the Ethernet dongle has a blinking activity light for good feedback that the network is connected. I was happy with the wide angle, which gave me reasonable entrance coverage. I'm reducing the camera quality to 1080P so I can't really complain. However, the night video in IR mode was excellent. I have attached photos of day and night views of the camera. UPDATE: After 1 week of use when it was working properly, the date and time were not set and the sound stopped working. At the same time, the video from the camera randomly updated the image, which sometimes took several seconds, and became very sluggish to control it from its own IP page. I've tried reset, factory reset, power cycle, all to no avail. Investing more time wasn't worth it, so I returned the camera. Conclusion: Initially I was very satisfied with the professional quality of the camera configuration menu and the ease of installation and how quickly I got started with the 1080P NVR, but after 1 week the camera failed. I give it 4 stars assuming I've had a rare bug and it will be replaced if I ask, but I'll use another brand as I've lost faith in AnpViz.
