Ah, the miracle of amplification without a power supply. It broke about the third time I moved it. I took it apart and the wire detached from the little circuit board that connects the cable to the impedance matching transformer and two blades that are actually connected to something. Easy repair but terrible workmanship. And it was fraudulently sold as a boosted antenna when it's a regular dipole.
