I love this journal! Measuring 7"H x 5"W x 1"D, it's small enough to stuff into a backpack or a big pocket so that you can pull it out and write as the spirit moves you. The cover is PU leather (a combo of leather and polyurethane, which makes it lighter and easier to clean), and although not as tough as 100% leather, it's much less expensive and looks attractive. The pages are not plain white but a tannish color, a bit thicker than regular paper,

- The notebook pages may not be thick enough to prevent ink smudging.
