You should not take it, it does not meet any standards.

We wanted an adapter that was compatible with both Windows and Linux, but not every manufacturer now declares support for these operating systems. When TP-LINK was used in the past, an older adapter, it was simple and trouble-free. Yet, this model is a complete failure. In spite of the fact that the router is three meters away from me, I was able to get it to function normally by using only a USB cord and positioning the adapter so that it was virtually at the ceiling (it would be better if I threw a twisted pair cable from the router). When linked directly to the USB port on the device's rear, there is no reception, and it is not able to utilize the Internet. When connected to a USB port on Linux from the front, the adapter does not show up at all in the device manager.

Pros
  • - Capable of working natively in both Windows and Linux, with no configuration required; - Very compact.
Cons
  • - A repulsive reception, and the only way to get it to operate correctly is to use the USB cord as an extension cable.
