Does what it's supposed to and is very comfortable. I bought this orthosis because I had severe back pain from standing for a long time at work (10-12 hour shifts). I've tried it both with and without a shirt and it's very comfortable. However, there were times when I might have worn it too low so it kind of digged into my butt/thigh, but overall it fit well. The ribs are made of durable, flexible plastic. So nice to wear all day. I weigh about 135 pounds and have a waist size of 30. I was told it can be used as a waist trainer as I was looking for a bandage that can be used as a waist trainer. I thought I needed a smaller one until I realized there are external adjustable straps as well. I'm already on the lowest tier so next time I may buy a small size.
