Not perfect but got the job done.

First a word of caution: if you buy one of these and ever take it apart, there will be a leaking ball bearing at the bottom of the pump that will act as a check valve. after the release of spring. If you're taking it apart to clean, or because you're curious as to what's inside, don't turn it over to pull out the spring and let the ball bearing roll away, never to be seen again. When reassembling, the ball bearing should fit into the hole in the center of the housing before inserting the spring. The spring has a plastic cup that fits over a ball bearing at one end and holds it there during use. used this pump to service a Honda VTM-4 differential. The fluid from Honda only comes in 1-gallon jugs, so you'll need a pump to pump it into the diff. This fluid is more like ATF than gear lube and is not too thick. One of the supplied adapters fitted the jug snugly and I was able to fill the diff to 3 liters with reasonable effort. I didn't use the plastic nipple to hold the hose in the filler hole. I didn't like the likelihood of it breaking and falling and how well it held up. I just connected the hose and it works. I also removed the tubing from the pump and rotated it to work with its natural curve and not against it, eliminating kinking issues. I had a few drops of leakage from the hose connector to the pump, but no more than I could wipe off with a rag. If you've ever seen a condiment dispenser on those big ketchup or cheese sauce jars, then that's exactly what this pump is. It appears to be a repurposed item rather than an item designed specifically for pumping liquids. The nozzle on the pump is shaped to spray ketchup onto the hot dog instead of holding a hose. If it were straight and had a hose connection it would be much better for this application. The biggest problem I had was after I was done with it. It doesn't seal well enough to stay on the jug and all the remaining liquid oozed out of the hose and nozzle. Taking it apart for cleaning is a big mess and is best done over a large drain pan. I have washed the parts in the parts washer and they appear to be ready for use again. Considering the cost, I'm not sure it was worth the time cleaning it up, but throwing it out seems really wasteful.
