I have found a new use for this item

I was trying to figure out a way to pour liquid dish soap from a large jug into the soap dispenser that is part of my kitchen sink. I've always had trouble pouring thick liquid soap down a small hole, mostly because the faucet's lever got in the way and the pitcher was unwieldy. A bubble often formed in the soap dispenser opening, causing the soap to overflow. The Slippery Pete Fluid Pump was the answer! The device fits snugly into the mouth of a gallon jug of Costco brand liquid soap, and then

Great transmission oil pump

Ok my wife was a little surprised that the "Slippery Pete Pump" arrived but when I told her what it was she didn't complain. .I have a tractor with a VERY difficult to access filler neck. Seriously, who puts the oil filler neck on the side and under the air filter and under the charger attachment point? In any case, it used to be a messy and painful process, but not now. Obviously, Slippery Pete wasn't cute enough to include a lid for a 4-gallon container of 85-140 oil, but I was one step awayโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I'll add later

A good pump is what you need for 5 stars

I suspect many hobby mechanics use this pump to fill transmissions and differentials. I used it to fill an automatic transmission, so my rating is for ATF, which is thinner than many lubes used in manual transmissions and differentials. PROS: Works great. no leaking Large pump volume for fast filling The tip is nicely designed to stay in the filling hole without falling out. If you have to make a 180 degree turn to get to the filler hole, it will most likely snap off, making pumping difficultโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Only available in black

Not perfect but got the job done.

First a word of caution if you buy one of these and ever take it apart you will see a leaking ball bearing which works like a check valve located at the bottom of the pump after the spring comes out. If you're taking it apart to clean, or because you're curious as to what's inside, don't turn it over to pull out the spring and let the ball bearing roll away, never to be seen again. When reassembling, the ball bearing should fit into the hole in the center of the housing before inserting theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Fits

Made a difficult job easier but didn't do well in my application

I bought this pump to help me change the transfer case oil (GM Devron VI) on my 2013 Chevy Avalanche. I needed about 2 liters of GM Dexron, and a gallon of Revain was only $2 more than two liters, so I went that route. I knew dispensing from a gallon jug for a transfer case would be impossible, so I bought this pump to help. While the pump did allow me to fill the transfer case, there were three things that annoyed me about it. First, while they include two sizes of adapter caps to allow theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certified
