Great Idea - Great Support - Unresponsive Tech

I bought this to free up my workspace and combine the power of a landline and softphone without having to have a phone on my desk. With a softphone I should be able to enter numbers or use a synchronized address book. BUT IT DOESN'T WORK. After working with a great support team, here's what we've learned, but engineers can't handle even the simplest of tasks. After replacing the phone, we were able to reproduce the issue and record what was happening. Telephoning and interacting with things like voicemail and conferencing systems use two tones that are produced when a button is pressed on the phone. The corresponding two tones must be produced simultaneously and of sufficient length, and the distance between them must be correctly interpreted. The problem is that they are not generated correctly and the software and firmware do not allow you to adjust the length and spacing for more sensitive systems. So I can't dial with FiOS. Doesn't work with ATT conferencing (ironic), works with WebEx, doesn't work with ATT voicemail (ironic). Plug in my Plantronics speakerphone and it dials perfectly. A few hours later, the original manufacturer helped. I was very surprised that I never received a patch to add features or fix an issue. So I will buy another product and hopefully you will avoid some disappointment if you don't buy this product.
