These wheel chocks are a useful, if not necessary, addition to my van. I mean if you ever have to park your trailer on a slope you will worry about it rolling and what a fun scene that would be! If you're new to pop-up camping, don't mention your RV doesn't have a parking brake! I was going to cut out 4x4 pieces of pine to make a homemade wedge, but then I stumbled across this. They are made of fairly thick rubber and weigh 3lb 7oz. each, so a set of four is pretty hefty. They're fairly grippy with a deep tread pattern on both sides and a handy pull hole to attach a belt or rope loop to if needed. I found them easy enough to manipulate by simply clinging to the pull rods. I was a little surprised to find that they come in two pieces held together with a thick rubberized sticky pad. I expected them to be molded in one solid piece. You can see that in the manufacturer's photos, but this photo looked to me like a seam from the casting process. There may be times when it will be difficult to mold them into a single entity. It doesn't matter - they seem pretty solid. The radius of these wheel chocks is a good match for my trailer's 14 inch wheels. Overall they do what they are supposed to do and I feel better having them ready when I set up my retractable camper.
