Review on TEAC TN-400S Gloss Black Turntable With S-Shaped Tonearm And Belt Drive by Patrick Mccall

The right purchase for me

I have a large collection of lp's from the 1970's through 80's. My wife got me interested in resurecting my collection after I started upgrading my HiFi system.I knew that many albums in my collection had been played to death, and did not want to spend an arm and a leg for new equipment, while also valuing quality sound. This Teac Turntable fit the bill perfectly, I am completely happy with my purchase. The only gripe I had about this purchase is that the description says only "3-Speed Turntable" I knew that I wanted the Teac 400s, but the product page really does not give you that specific information. I was really happy when the correct item showed up on my doorstep.

Pros
  • High quality turntable, simple controls, can listen and record at the same time
Cons
  • S-shaped tonearm may not be suitable for certain types of records, resulting in poorer sound quality.
