I often use these shrink cables for housework or when connecting things to my pickup truck or boat. The property is installed and heated, they are waterproof and hold the wires together. After my 2 wires are stripped I slide one of the right size onto one of the wires, twist the 2 ends of the wire together, slide the tubing back down so it closes the connection and with the help of a pair of pliers I press the metal barrel in place stretched over the inner bare wires. I like the very thick copper tubing in these connectors. I will then use a lighter or heat gun to pinch the plastic tube and melt the glue inside. Once you get used to this type of connector, I doubt you'll go back to tape or wire nuts. I love that I have 350 isolators in a clear plastic case.
