Update February 2020 Well, raccoons are smart animals. This order for a while, but now the raccoons have defeated him. Ah, well, they will outlive the people of this earth. ********************* The raccoons climb our porch railings, grab our hanging birdhouses, empty them or worse and knock them to the ground. At the same time, they soiled the porch, broke the lampposts, and made general chaos. This carpet managed to keep them away from the feeding stations. They were a little awkward to install (we wrapped them around the railing) and the zip ties that came with them were useless, hence the loss of the star. I can climb over them to get to the feeding sites without hurting myself. I don't know how long they last, but the raccoons haven't eaten them, although we check regularly. Our porch railing is white and the off-white carpet looks pretty. I'm not sure how it will look on green or brown railings.
